ExCeL London


ExCeL London is an international exhibition and convention centre located in the heart of London's Royal Docks, within easy reach of Central London, and such tourist sites as Tower Bridge and the Tate Modern.

The venue is part of an impressive 100 acre campus, which includes three onsite Docklands Light Railway stations, in addition the Jubilee Line and London City Airport are easily assessable.   With parking for 3,700 cars, 6 onsite hotels and numerous bars and restaurants, this venue will have added value during the London Olympics.  

International Convention Centre -

ExCel hosts a variety of events from award winning exhibitions and conferences to international association meetings, product launches, banquets, award ceremonies, sporting events and great days out, such as the London Boat Show and Britain’s Got Talent auditions.

Built in 2000, seven years before the completion of Wembley Stadium and the revamped O2 arena, ExCel demands the status of a premier London venue. In 2008 the ICC (International Convention Centre) was added to the venue, giving further versatility.


ExCeL will host a total of 143 sessions during the Olympics across a wide range of sports, including Boxing , Fencing , Judo ,Taekwondo , Weightlifting , Wrestling , Boccia , Paralympic Table Tennis, Paralympic Judo , Paralympic Powerlifting , Sitting Volleyball and Wheelchair Fencing.

  1. Excel London is capable of handling 50,000 visitors per day.
  2. Since 2000, ExCeL London has hosted over 2,000 events and welcomed over 5 million visitors from over 200 different countries.
  3. ExCel has 100,000m2 of flat floor space.  
  4. The ICC Auditorium offers seating to up to 3000 delegates.  
  5. Its banqueting hall can host up to 5000 reception guests or 3000 dinning guests.
