Watch this WhichHoliday.TV London Olympic Special
featuring the London Water Tower

The London Water Tower -

The 130 foot tower was built in 1896 and now, along with the modern pavilion building alongside, offers luxury self-catering accommodation with spacious living areas, 5 double bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and a rooftop observatory all close to Greenwich and within easy reach of Central London. Perfect for a weekend break or visiting the 2012 Olympics. Your are under 30 minutes away from central London and all the sites such as Nelson's Column, Westminster Abbey and the Tower of London.

The newly built Pavilion has a kitchen, dining and living area as well as two of the five bedrooms.  This part of the building offers large spacious light opened planned areas with access to the courtyard as well as a glass walkway to the tower and the remaining three bedrooms.  Although the bedroom in the Tower are smaller, the lift access to each room and the stunning views more than make up for it.
However for the team what makes this converted water tower the 'place to stay' is the rooftop observatory, with a mini bar, TV and sofas overlooking the London skyline.  The observatory is glass from floor to ceiling giving you absolutely stunning views, and if and want a completely unobstructed view, then step out on to the balcony  surrounding the observatory.
